Princeville 4-15-12

I went to Princeville two weekends ago for Brooke & Kory's wedding.  I stayed at Amber Ehnle's with the Steffen girls, and Stephanie.  It was so much fun!! We went star tippin, sang, danced, ate, talked.....  The wedding was really nice! After the reception I went skating with Erin Schieler, ate ice cream at Emos (it is really   good!!! I had a smore wizard!!), then hung out at her apartment!! It was a lot of fun!!

Yielding Our Rights

Have any of you ever listened to the Pineapple Stories by Otto Koning?  I would really encourage you to listen to them!! He was a missionary for head hunters.  Anyway, he talks a lot about surrendering our rights.  We can't be holding onto our possessions, or trying to take our health and family into our own hands.  We need to give them to God.  So when someone maybe steals something from you, whether it be earthly goods, your time, or whatever, you don't need to get angry and upset.  Because they aren't yours, they are God's. Sometimes we can get annoyed if someone is continually asking us for help, just remember to always do it willingly with a loving heart.  If it were Christ asking you to do something, how would you treat Him? Treat others the same way! "As unto Christ." Also, when we do surrender to God, we have a lot less stress and things to worry about, because it is all in God's hands!!

Insurance Agent

I am happy to announce that I passed my health insurance test yesterday!!! I passed my life insurance on three weeks ago. So now I can sell insurance!! hahahaha......well that is what I will have the credentials of doing...NOT that I would ever do that!  I am even more excited to finally be done with studying and I can start enjoying my life after work more and can continue reading "normal" and "exciting" and "fun" books!! :-)

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter to everyone!! It is good to take time to just think about what Christ did for us.  It is so easy to get caught up in the mundane tasks of daily living and we forget why we are here and how it is even possible!

I went home for Easter, I left after work on Friday and came home Sunday night!! So it was a short weekend, but I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with my family. It makes me miss living at home though...:-( Saturday night we dyed eggs!!! It was a lot of fun!!:-) Sunday we had a sunrise service (I played violin while everyone was getting there....although it was a fail because it was so cold that my strings went out of tune really fast :-(....) Then we had Easter breakfast...which I stuffed myself....there is always sooo many amazing egg dishes/rolls/etc...yum. Then we had our normal services. After church I packed up, then mom and I played guitar and sang together for awhile. We had an egg hunt before supper too, which was a lot of fun!! Who said it is just for little kids? :-) For supper we ate in St. Cloud at Dickie's (kind of like a Famous Dave's). Jeff brought some 10+++ hot sauce with (Kelsy gave him from New Orleans), I decided to try it... I dipped the tip of one of my fork pegs into it...I was on fire!! Nothing would make it go away either!!! I think it burned for an entire 1 1/2 hrs!! Lets just say....I learned my lesson and will not do that again!!! Especially not before the meal...(it kind of ruins your meal) although my meal was still delicious...the ice cream afterwards was AMAZING and a RELIEF to my smoldering mouth!! :-) Since I didn't leave until later though, I got back to Mepo at 2am :-l....yes....very short night!

New Roommate!!!!

At this time I would like to make it officially known; that starting June 11th, I will have a new roommate!!!!! Lena Steiner.  I am super excited to have my cousin moving down here and living with me!!!  This spring cannot go fast enough...since I am counting down the days!! It was really fun to have her this weekend! She brought a few things down, and we put up some of her decorations!!! :-) Yes, I am super EXCITED!!!

Steiner Girls

Lena and Em came to visit me this past weekend!! They came Thursday and spent the night with the Wulf's. Then Friday I took a lunch break and we went to Hy-Vee and ate Chinese!! Not sure what they all did because I had to work. But after I finished work, I went over to Wulf's, had pizza for supper, then rushed off to Elderly singing!! After the singing we went to Wagenbach's and ate/sang/and visited.  Then we went home and straight to bed.  HA...  Actually, I am not sure what time we actually went to bed.  Then on Saturday we got up bright and early and headed over to Galva, IL to have tea with our grandma (and grandpa actually attended too!!!;-)) When we got back that afternoon, we went to Wulf's and just hung out until supper.  We went back to my apartment and made enchiladas!!:-) They were really good! Afterwards, they went to visit their aunt & uncle, and I went to communion.  Sunday was crazy!!!....We went to Burlington church in the morning (and completely embarrassed ourselves beyond belief), Oakville church in the afternoon, then we drove up to Iowa City for nursing home singing and supper!!! Even though our ride up there was FAR from pleasant.....we had a very nice time!! (Lena's airconditioner doesn't work....and it happened to be VERY hot!!!) We were all sweltering and sweating!  All in all...it was a very wonderful weekend!!!
